This year, several members of Kingston Connections have gotten together to form a team at Relay for Life! We are excited to raise money to help the Canadian Cancer Society kick cancer’s butt! For many of us this is not our first time relaying, and for some of us it is our first experience. Either way, we are happy to receive any support you can give.
Last year’s Relay raised over $28 million for cancer research.
The Relay for Life is run by the Canadian Cancer Society every year, and it is their primary and biggest fundraiser of the year. It is a fun day of events, fundraising, fun games, prizes, and of course the heart of the name: non-stop relay.
Why do we relay? Cancer is a struggle, and a journey. Some recover, some do not. Thanks to donations like yours, tireless research and countless volunteers, the survival rate has increased to 65%. This relay is a small gesture of our commitment to the research, the struggle, and the journey, and to show patients: we stand by you and you are not alone.
