Sara is a Digital Business Advisor with a background in digital marketing and communications. Her role focuses on helping businesses located in the greater Kingston area by improving their digital presence by leading the Digital Main Street program that provides funding to business owners. Kingston Economic Development in partnership with Digital Main Street is helping Main Street businesses to adopt digital technology by providing them with the following opportunities: The Digital Transformation $2500 Grant program is focused on assisting small businesses with their adoption of technologies. The program provides training, advisory support, and grants to brick-and-mortar small businesses looking to increase their capacity through digital transformation. The Canada Digital Adoption is a micro-grant of up to $2,400 to help businesses with the costs related to adopting e-commerce and is supported by a network of e-commerce advisors. It was discussed that even though we have a Commercial Photographer we could invite someone who performs Wedding/Family photography. In that same way, we have a Commercial cleaning company, but would invite a Residential cleaner. Meetings will be every second Thursday starting September 22nd. That will take us to Dec 15th as our last meeting of 2022. Everyone will be able to present their 30 second elevator speech. In addition to our members presenting, we will invite outside participants to do a workshop/training Some members are looking to hire. Please provide WDK with details to post your job.
