Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (or MBSR) is a way of approaching stress and chronic health issues that studies and research has shown us works.
Developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn in the 1970s, MBSR is used to supplement treatment for people struggling with life’s difficulties including physical and mental illness (Kabat-Zinn, 2013).
The Center for Mindfulness says by making Mindfulness a challenging adventure and committing to the practices, you can experience an immediate change in your life.
By stepping out of “clock time”, as Kabat-Zinn refers to it, you can come more consistently, with less judgment, into this present moment. This moment is all there is.
